| July 2005 Our new
vehicle......
July 2005 saw the arrival of our brand new Mercedes vehicle, specially commissioned and designed to suit our individual requirements. We knew what we required from a new vehicle to ensure we could deliver our complete range of products. The coachwork has been designed to ensure products can be safely loaded and secured as well as ensuring we could carry bar lengths if required. The vehicle features wide double doors with a low floor and loading steps to ensure offloading is also safe and secure. The cab features the latest Satellite Navigation system, handsfree phone and sleeper cab should overnight stays be required.
New Price list.... Our new price list covering our range of door and framing products is now available. Its new ring binder format enables customers to adapt the price list to their own needs and updates will be easier to integrate. The new price list features more hardware and material options for our doors and framing with a wider variety of cills, threshold and add-on options added. We are also pleased to include the latest Setting the Standard Publications from the Council for Aluminium in Building, full details of which are available here New additions to our team..... July 2005: We are delighted to announce the appointment of Mike Davis as Administration Manager at CDW. Mike has worked in our industry for a number of years formerly being Customer Services Manager at Monarch Aluminium as well some of our customers and prior to joining CDW as Deputy Manager of Cheltenham Town Football Club. Mike brings with him a wealth of experience in customer services and we are delighted to have him as a senior member of our Team. In January 2005 we were joined by two new members of staff: Martin Rowe has many years experience in commercial aluminium doors and windows, having previously worked at Glostal/SAPA and is now in charge of our order processing. He is assisted by Dan Waters, who whilst totally new to our industry, (and who moved from Trowbridge to Gloucester to join us!) has in a remarkably short time, gained immense product knowledge and is a most valuable member of our team. We are delighted to have both Martin and Dan working with us.
Working Harder for Aluminium.... Earlier in 2005, we were pleased to accept an invitation by the Council for Aluminium in Building, to join their Technical Committee. The CAB Technical Committee ensures that the members’ views on standards and legislation issues are clearly and firmly represented at the highest possible level. It also provides an interactive forum for members of the different elements of the supply chain to discuss and exchange views on current issues of concern. The Technical Officer is available for expert consultation on all matters of a technical nature that members may encounter. CAB and ISO Certification...... In the summer of 2004, CDW Systems Ltd was awarded ISO 9001 Quality Assurance Certification and OHSAS 18001 Quality Certification for Health and Safety. The attainment of these two standards further strengthens our commitment to providing quality products and service and gives our customers and suppliers the reassurance that quality is of paramount importance to our organisation. In the same year CDW Systems Ltd were invited to join the Council for Aluminium in Building (CAB). The mission of the CAB and its members is to support the interest of the architectural aluminium industry by encouraging the increasing use of aluminium products in architecture and the construction industry as a who, to encourage quality and best practice, to set new technical standards and protect members' business and contractual interests. Member companies are committed to promote and maintain a high standard of workmanship in all aspects of their business. In September 2005 CDW Systems successfully passed its first audit for its ISO9001 and OHSAS18001 certification. To find out more about the Council for Aluminium in Building, Click Here
