Anti Finger Trap doors
These are also designed for either single or double swing operation and the closer mechanism is concealed in the frame head – i.e., no visible door closers. Doors are hung centrally in the frame and will open to just past 90 degrees and will not swing right back. Suitable for most applications especially schools, public buildings or doors with particularly heavy traffic.
The rounded anti-finger trap hinge stile and applied jamb to the door frame seal the visible gap between the edge of the door and the frame when the door is open and it is not possible to trap hands or fingers when the doors are closing. These types of doors are now widely used in schools, hospitals and other public buildings where safety is required. It is our recommendation that anti-finger trap doors are used wherever possible.
